I’m a hobbyist beekeeper who, along with my father and family, produces small amounts of artisanal raw honey throughout the year. I’ve also expanded my product line to include hot honey, blended honey, and skincare products, such as body butter and lip balms.
It’s important to note that raw honey sold in stores is misleading. While it may be labeled as 100% raw, it’s also often pasteurized and graded as Grade A honey. Grade A honey undergoes high filtration and pasteurization, which eliminates any health benefits of raw honey. In contrast, my honey is Grade B honey, which is truly raw in every sense of the word. I don’t pasteurize my honey, and it’s only minimally filtered during the extraction process. The filter I use only removes large debris like bee bodies and wings, as well as tiny bits of wax.
At Warren G’s Honey Bees, we prioritize your health and wellness and refuse to use any unnatural ingredients in our products. Our body butter contains extra light olive oil, coconut oil, beeswax (sourced from my own bees), and shea butter. Our lip balm is made with equal parts beeswax (from my bees), coconut oil, and shea butter.
Beeswax has several benefits for skin care. It forms a protective barrier on the skin’s surface, shielding it from environmental irritants and harsh weather conditions. Notably, beeswax is non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pores, allowing the skin to breathe freely. This makes beeswax particularly suitable for acne-prone and sensitive skin.
Shea butter, on the other hand, is rich in fatty acids and vitamins, making it an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening and nourishing the skin. Shea butter also possesses anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Applying shea butter to your body, especially your face, can condition, tone, and soothe your skin.
Benefits of coconut oil: Coconut oil hydrates and strengthens the skin’s natural barrier, locking in moisture. It’s particularly beneficial for dry skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties help treat acne, an inflammatory condition.
Benefits of olive oil: Olive oil is an excellent moisturizer, especially when applied to wet skin while pores are open. It can act as a second skin barrier for dry, cracked skin during winter. Additionally, olive oil boasts antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Tea tree oil benefits: When used topically, tea tree oil is believed to have antibacterial properties. It’s commonly used to treat acne, athlete’s foot, lice, nail fungus, and insect bites.
Lavender benefits: Lavender is arguably the most effective essential oil for healing skin conditions, burns, and cuts. Its anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antimicrobial, and detoxifying properties help reduce redness, soothe and calm the skin, and rapidly heal minor cuts and scrapes, as well as any rashes.
I genuinely hope you enjoy my product as many others do. Thank you for your trust in my company.
